Homemade Loroco flower pupusas! (And homemade mild salsa!) 🌯🌯🌯🌯 I've never eaten a pupusa before, let alone made one, but I found fresh "loroco" in a store here and had to impulse buy it, and online said they're good in pupusas, and I'm pretty good at making masa on a regular basis, so why the heck not!! [Long sentence lmao.] They're really good! I put a Little too much salt in something, though? But good nonetheless. The taste actually makes me think of pizza? Because the corn masa + tomato-based salsa sauce is like the cornmeal on pizza crust with red sauce. 10/10 will make again if I find more loroco. (Or maybe with a different filling!) The loroco flowers are kind of like that specialty broccoli (the one that only has a few flowers) in texture and taste. 🥦🥦🥦🥦 ((Also not pictured: the fucking four drumsticks I devoured while cooking these. Hnnnggghhh. Diet who? I haven't been in a good mental space to count calories while on my month-long dogsitting job. Definitely not in a good space today specifically, though, because I forgot my morning meds yesterday and spent all night and this morning manic as hell until I decided to 🌿🔥 and it let me actually be productive ALL day.
