Lorraine was born to a single mother and never knew her father. Her relationship with her mother was a close one, and they were often times more like best friends than mother and daughter. It is from her mother that Lorraine gets her work ethic, her kindness, and the attitude she does well at hiding.
Since childhood Lorraine was drawn to medicine of all kinds. As a young girl she would come home after school and immediately begin watching medically-based programs, whether they were ‘true stories’ or dramatized. Therefore, it came as no shock when she declared, as a senior in high school, that her major in college would be Nursing.
Socially, Lorraine has always flourished. While she was never the popular mean-girl type, she always kept a large circle, remained surrounded by friends, and always seemed to know someone wherever she went. This is something she has kept up in adulthood, having many acquaintances and always looking to make new friends.
Lorraine is currently an RN in the Emergency Department, but is also in school to become a Nurse Practitioner.
Eventually, I would like to see a plot for Lorraine in which she explores new hobbies and dives deeper into a ‘finding herself’ type journey. With this, I would love for her to open the plot to others in terms of people who help her to learn the following skills: gardening, pottery, and baking.
