“They wh-what?” He questioned, almost recoiling from the path that he was about to head down. “H-how long has this been happenin’?” Goddesses above, this place was already giving him the creeps, but that knowledge just made him decide right there and then that this was a terrible idea.
Upon this decision, he immediately decides to follow this other person, if only because they seem to know the area better. It’s as Ravio does this, the similarities between this person and his ‘Mr. Hero’ dawn on him.
“Say, you’re not the adventuring type, are you?” he asked, taking what strides he could to try and catch up. “It’s just, you know this area quite well and I was wondering if that was the case.” He wasn’t going to say at this point that they reminded him of Link, but this was something, at least.
“I’m Ravio, by the way,” he ventured. Whilst it’s not wise to reveal a name so quickly, he hoped that it would perhaps foster some familiarity and, maybe, a conversation.
He immediately nods, confirming what he’d previously said. The mostly serious expression on his face helps hammer in the fact that he means it. This path is quite dangerous from what he’s heard and seen. But not impossible, of course! The place is just much too packed with environmental hazards (and some monsters, but the unstable landscape is the main danger) to be considered safe for just any travelers to pass on through. They must be prepared, much like he usually is.
But this fact doesn’t seem to fully deter the purple-clad boy. In fact, he seems to just follow Green closer, though his question piques his interest. “Adventurin’? Guess y’ could say so. M’ kinda like a part time adventurer.” It’s not as if that’s too much of a stretch to assume as much. On a similar note, it wouldn’t be crazy to assume the other is quite the opposite of an adventurer. That hood he’s wearing would be more of an impediment in a fight than necessary and it doesn’t look like it’d be good against the weather, either. It’s purely for decoration, as far as he can tell. Cute design, though.
“Bandits an’ thieves like t’ think that it bein’ dangerous means they can use it t’ escape an’ stuff, so I’ve been around here b’fore.” A lot, actually.
“Ravio...?” Green repeats. Surprisingly, the name gets a smile to grace his features. The combination of both the colour Ravio is wearing and the latter part of it is quite the amusing coincedence. He can’t help but think of a certain bookworm. “Nice t’ meet y’! M’ name’s Viridian. ...Y’know, y’ kinda remind me of someone I know.” The smile then becomes a little unsure. Now that he thinks about it, he hasn’t seen anyone like this guy before. No one in Hyrule wears robes like those, especially not in tandem with a scarf and belt like that. Ravio is most likely a foreigner from what he can tell.
Which begs the question...
“Why are y’ out here, anyways?” They haven’t gotten into truly dangerous territory just yet, so he figures he might as well inquire about (who seems to be) his temporary companion.
