What would be a good consort for the land of stars and candles
Navy blue owls would live in small villages under the stars found on LOSAC. These brainy birds seem to know everything about you the second you arrive, and that’s because the villages are notorious for spreading information. If one owl sees or hears something, the rest of the planet is informed within minutes. It’s unclear just how they can get gossip around so fast, but it’s definitely helpful when you don’t need to repeat your quest to everyone you’re trying to help. The only downside is that rumors spread just as fast as real information, and you might find yourself trying to convince more than a few birdbrains that they shouldn’t believe everything they hear.
Knight of Light in the Land of Silence and Crowds?
Your land is the Land of Silence and Crowds (LOSAC). Your land is a trash-covered party floor with tile and disco lights everywhere. You see many groups of what looks to be Disco Squirrels. You’d expect there to be some music or something, but everything is quiet…too quiet…
Quest: NINJAS?!
No, there are no ninjas. Only squirrels that are busy dancing and being completely quiet. You look around to find that your planet is pretty much just squirrels dancing together in different spots. Well, that is except for the stage the DJ is manning. You wonder if you could take a turn..?
Quest: DJ
You spin those records and create the freshest beat ever conceived. Well, you imagine it being considering your entire land is, once again, completely silent. Once you think you’ve had enough DJing time, you hear the mechanical whir of a door opening behind you. In an instant, the silence breaks and squirrel squeaks and party songs drown out what thoughts you were just thinking. To escape the surplus of noise, you run into the doorway, which immediately shuts as you enter.
Announcing it once again, Everyone in the group would love new people to chat to, this is a Homestuck based chatroom on skype to discuss all things Homestuck!
Even if you see this and don't want to join you could Reblog it maybe to spread the word to people who might want to!
Once again add 'Pyronugget' on skype requesting an invite to the group!
Session 501011b/501012a [F] > Lands > Land of Sun and Clay
The Priest of Earth (501012a-03: B******, K***) was quite a popular youth back on Earth. He was a star soccer player, and was repeatedly on the AB Honor Roll. He was charismatic and friendly, and was an overall 'perfect' person. Of course, this wasn't all true once he was alone. He can be kind of dorky when he's alone, and has a secret love of astronomy. He is actually a lot more nerdy and awkward than his school persona shows, and he's very polite and gentleman-y, although a slob. He initially joined a site sharing art via an internet friend he met on another site (501012a-04), and there he met the other two.
Of course, like the others, he was roped into a friend's game. He agreed to play Sburb and played a hand in the genocide of his own species. He was spared, given the title of Priest of Earth, and landed in the Land of Sun and Clay.
GEOGRAPHY
LOSAC is an extremely hot planet. The sparsely vegetated ground (save for some cacti) is cracked from heat, and the mountains are burning, even at their peaks. The sky itself is tainted red from the large, burning sun, and it never is truly night: night on the planet is basically just dim sunlight before morning comes again. There also seems to be a large absence of water as the air is dry and most of the water is stored deep underground.
One interesting feature of the land is the hot, wet clay that oozes from the mountaintops like volcanoes. Brownish in appearance and hot to the touch, once it cools down it's very similar to modeling clay used to make pottery.
CONSORTS
The consorts of LOSAC are sky blue caecilians, which are very, very scary, at least to the Priest. They look like worms, and it doesn't help that the consorts are very touchy-feely. Their entire culture and ways of greeting are based around touch, and it will definitely horrify the Priest, making it hard to cooperate with them.
Despite their scary looks and bizarre greeting practices, they are extremely friendly and cooperative. They make clay nest-like structures their home, made from the molten clay literally everywhere. Other than what's been mentioned, the consorts of LOSAC are rather normal and run-of-the-mill.
UNDERLINGS
Since most underlings on a planet are primarily affected by the prototyping of the player, the Priest would have to face underlings bearing resemblance to soccer players. The underlings wear sky blue soccer uniforms, bearing the number 10 and the Priest's surname. The underlings, as a result, will be excellent kickers. They'll also act like the Priest himself, making them harder to beat. With the apparent blandness of the prototyping, they'll probably have Mickey Mouse ears (a result of 501012a-02's prototyping), bear characteristics, ribbon around their necks and/or crazy white hair (a result of 501012a-04's prototyping). The grist found by defeating them are sunstone, tar, shale, blood, caulk, copper, iodine, obsidian and redstone.
OTHER FAUNA
Owls appear to be the associated animals of LOSAC, inhabiting the cacti. They're rather solitary creatures and only interact with the player when he reaches god tier.
DENIZEN
The Priest is an Earth player, so the associated denizen of his aspect would be his. The associated denizen for Earth just so happens to be Opis. Opis is a female humanoid, clad in simple garb made from what appears to be leaves, which is odd considering the climate. Opis is not only responsible for the underlings, she's also responsible for the lack of water on the surface.
QUEST
The Priest's Quest is to bring back the water from the center of the Earth. This can be achieved by defeating Opis, which can be done once he's reached the god tiers. The Priest should keep fighting and prioritize the echeladder.
FINAL PLAYER/LAND ASSESSMENT
The Priest will do fine in this land, as long as he's okay with some grinding. He seems like a reliable young man, and it looks like he'll go for the goal.
I just realized how my Land could be potentially problematic for me to traverse.
It's the Land of Storms and Chaos, and it's essentially in a constant state of natural disaster or storming. Mostly rain and hurricanes and water/wind related things. Lots of lightning, the occasional tornado and sometimes earthquakes. Surprisingly, there is a sizable ocean and quite a few lakes and rivers and waterfalls.
But yes, it could be problematic because almost every storm involves lightning, which I cringe at even if I'm inside, and if I'm outside I start to fucking panic, because I'm actually really conductive.
It's not so much that I'm afraid of lightning, because I will literally stand at my window and watch the lightning, because I think it's incredibly beautiful. I'm just extremely wary of it's potential to light my ass up.
So I'm wondering how I would be brave enough to go through all those storms were I ever to have to.
