Lost, Drifting - Chapter 6 - Nothing Left to Lose
"I should not have kissed you, it was not proper." "Did you not enjoy it?" It was Anthony's turn to stare at her as if she was standing on the brink of madness. Instead of staring back at him with her usual fire, she avoided his eye, twisting the hem of her sleeve in her fingers. "Was it bad?" "Bad...?!"
__________________________________ The day after the festival, Anthony and Kate take a walk and finally have a much-needed conversation.
Look at me, updating in less than a week. Happy Labor Day, I suppose.
We finally get that conversation everyone was dying to see, with Kate trying to knock some sense into Anthony's hard head. Apparently this is as much slow-burn as I could get done, lol.
Next chapter we'll be seeing another important conversation, this time between Anthony and our beloved Nurse Mary (Am I diving waaaay too deep in Mary's backstory here? Yes. Do forgive me).
2.5k of it is done, so I hope to update soon.

"I was trying to help." She grumbled, her face morphing into an annoyed pout as she kicked a pebble. "And I appreciate your attempt but I said I am fine. Three times." "Well, excuse me if I have a tendency of not exactly believing when you say you're fine." She scoffed with a roll of her eye. "Since you've many times uttered these words while you were not, in fact, fine."

I split the chapter. Into several parts. I don't even know why I try fooling myself. What I DO know (bc it's mostly done) is that there's one more chapter before Kate and Anthony finally get together weeeeeee in what will be Chapter four! Also, we'll be seeing an important someone in chapter three! Care to place a guess about who?

Yay I’m glad! I’m sorry it’s been taking a while.
Unless I end up slipping the chapter in 2 (it’s been known to happen more often than not lol) we’ll see how Anthony and Kate’s relationship developed until the point Anthony gets punched in the Prologue. We’ll see how their relationship built going from flirting to something more serious to marriage and to baby Neddy. Also how Newton came to be in this story. We’ll also follow how Anthony (and Kate) deal with his lack of memory.
