We are very happy to present Lost Luna! We will release her tape "Wish upon a star" in the near future
Lost Luna is the solo music project of Nina Zina (guitarist in Lavender Witch and Vagina Dentata) from Belgium. Lost Luna has been home-recording for over 20 years, always with whatever lo-fi equipment was on hand and with a DIY attitude. Inspired by 90s alternative rock and riot grrrl bands as well as more contemporary DIY music, she continues to turn her room into an improvised mini studio. During the pandemic, she decided to finally finish and put out a self-released (digital-only) EP. And a new one is coming soon, on tape format, on Kitchen Leg Records. Lost Luna’s music sounds at once joyful and dark, melancholic and defiant. Backed with heavily distorted guitars, programmed beats, and the occasional guitarlele, the songs tell stories of longing for quietness, collecting memories, the mental impact of the pandemic, the feminist fight to decide over our own outfits, and mythical dreams of revenge.

“Syd’s songs sung” is a special cover project curated by Michele (aka Michele with one “L”) from WFMU’s “Feelings” as fundraiser for the radio.
The CD consists of cover of songs by Syd Barrett, from his solo dbut “The Madcap Laughts” to his second “Barrett” album, including also songs from his outtakes, B-sides and unreleased songs. Among many excellent names (Family Fodder, This Mortal Coil, Cate le Bon just to name a few), also Kitchen Leg records artists Lost Luna (who covers “Effervescent Elephant”) and Matching Outfits (with “Gigolo Aunt”) are present here!
