one thing about danny is i am putting a character on the island from lost. mel king is, of course, good in a crisis. when jack goes off on his frequent dangerous missions and treks across the island that last days, she is the doctor who can hang back and make sure no one dies in his absence. she spends time with claire and the baby, kate, sun and her garden. and she's not throwing punches like jack, not fighting to lead the survivors, just doing her job and trying to keep as many people alive and healthy as possible. so that's probably good for one of the doctors to doing.

alex karev is throwing punches and picking fights with jack over course of treatment and use of resources and everything, just everything, because he doesn't like his self-righteousness, his tone of voice, how he's appointed himself in charge. he's having homoerotic fights with sawyer, too, both physical and just yelling at each other, until they tire each other out and end up drinking on the beach again. he has few other friends, and sawyer isn't really his friend he's just his fucked up boytoy. he's generally unlikable, but maybe kate can stand him, maybe charlie, maybe shannon. he definitely thinks whatever's wrong with desmond is funny.

Jasmine lifted her head up from the garden, having just planted a seed.  While she wasn’t happy about the crash, she was learning how to help the other passengers survive by using her farm skills to help Sun plant food, help carry things, and using her limited knowledge of health care to be an unofficial nurse to Jack.

“Really, sug?” Jasmine asked Sawyer, rolling her eyes.  “Would’ve thought you’d at least be a little more clever.”

Jasmine wasn’t quite sure how to respond to that, having her own experience with bad relationships.  One that had led to her being in Australia in the first place.  The fact that it was Desmond, the crazy guy who had been living in a hatch for who knows how long, talking to her didn’t make it any easier.

“Yeah, but maybe the point is to learn and grow from bad relationships so, when you find the right one, you don’t screw it up,” she suggested.

“Those from the hatch, sug?” Jasmine asked.

Ordinarily, not knowing how old those donuts were, Jasmine would’ve said no.  However staying on the island and eating nothing but fruit, fish, vegetables and boar made her a little less picky.

“Sure, I’ll take one,” she told him.

“The concept of time left everyone, sug,” Jasmine told Charlie, tending to the crops.

Ever since this plane crashed, all of their lives had been hell.  They had to struggle to survive from hunting, to finding shelter, looking for water.  Though, thankfully, the ship happened to have a skilled doctor, hunter and fisherman as passengers.  Jasmine would even help Sun grow food and with some of the physical labor, even planting some flowers just to bring some happiness to the lives of the castaways.  Still, there were luxuries Jasmine missed about living among civilization, indoor plumbing being one of them.  Though she had encountered a few mysteries in the island that would make good stories if, no when, they were rescued.
