It was amazing, how quickly a toddler with such short legs could suddenly go missing when one turned their backs for but a second. Having grown up with so many younger siblings, Wynn was quite aware that many small children seemed to possess this ability, and yet there were times where she still forgot in the midst of distraction. All it took was her to turn away to scold one of the other kids, to take a brief instant to check something, and by the time Wynn turned back, the little one would be gone.
And when one found themselves on a crowded beach, such a circumstance definitely tended to be frightening. A swirl of panic was rising within her, caused not only by Tobi’s sudden absence, but from the strangers who surrounded her. She needed help, that much was obvious, but the simple task of approaching someone was easier said than done for someone like Wynn.
There was no time to be afraid though - what if Tobi was hurt? What if someone had picked him up? What if he’d wandered into the water, fallen in, or-
“Exc-c-cuse me-” The brunette’s voice shook as she stopped in front of a man, her face as white as his hair as another beach goer bumped against her accidentally on their way to the water. “I... h-h-have you s-seen a l-little boy? H-He’s about t-t-two, w... w-with red hair, dressed in a y-yellow sh-shirt and s-swim trunks, and... a-and he was c-carrying a stuffed Sh-Sharpedo, I...”
She needed to find him.
