I watched Pride with jonimitchelismyqueen last night, and remembered why I love it so much. I miss the Pride fandom.

So guys, Mark Ashton is 28 years dead on the 11th February, and I think the Pride family should definitely do something to commemorate this?

To celebrate your freedom from dissertation hell, here's a little Marmike headcanon: Whenever Mark gets frustrated with fights that seemed impossible to win and injustices he can't change and how wrong things are in the world, he'll start pacing around the flat and that's Mike's cue; he'll make Mark a cuppa and bring him it to him along with a few chocolate digestive before putting on one of his favourite records, as the slow, easy listening music fills the flat, he ask Mark for a dance. this is a psa that last night I went out on my uni's Pride social wearing my Pits and Perverts t-shirt and 'discretely gay' badge and I looked fucking adorable

(also I gave my '21 legal today!' badge to my friend because it was her 21st and I'm a good person)

and I may or may not have drunkenly recruited like ten people to drink a toast to Mark Ashton while doing vodka shots, and by 'may,' we all know that I damn well did

it was a very good night!!
