From 2010 - 2011, I hosted a radio show on SpiritLive called Lost Minutes with Max Libman and Eddie Majnemer.

From 2008 - 2009, the show was called The B-Side (Ha! Get it? B - like Bram!)

With Lost Minutes, I was able to play the music I loved and interview some of my favourite bands including Frank Turner, Fucked Up and Attack In Black. Without a doubt, the biggest highlight for me was having Arkells stop by for an interview and acoustic performance. Influenced by comedic podcasts and late-night punk shows I stayed up listening to as a kid, Lost Minutes provided a platform for me to talk about whatever I wanted while playing music I believed in.

Now, I present to you the BEST OF LOST MINUTES, which won the award for Best SpiritLive Show at the 2011 TARA Awards. Thank you to Ryerson University, RTA School of Media and FCAD for giving me the chance to host my own radio show like I wanted to do since I was a punk 12 year old missing out on some much needed sleep.

As 2011 winds down and productivity reaches a temporary halt, I'd like to take this opportunity to say a few quick things.

Thanks to everyone who attempted to listen to the last Lost Minutes episode on SpiritLive a few weeks back. I know some technical mishaps may have prevented you from listening to the show, so if you tried to tune in, thank you!

It's hard to believe this year is already finishing. A lot has sure happened in my life, and I'd like to thank anyone who's ever listened to the show or cared to visit this blog. Your support is recognized and I'm thankful to have friends who seem to care about the things I do for fun.

Without Max and Eddie, Lost Minutes could not have happened. Thank you for that hour each week where we'd talk about nothing and play some good music.

While I never intended to win anything with this show, last year's TARA award win meant a lot to Max, Eddie and myself. This last show, despite the fact that no one heard it, was a bittersweet moment for me. The end of Lost Minutes means much more than the end of a radio show. My Ryerson days are coming to an end, and it's hit me. Walking out of the SpiritLive studio doors for the last time was that moment of realization that many of us dread. This show, from the early days of The B-Side, has been with me throughout my RTA career. Now - it's finished. And so are my classes. And exams. And everything that came with my daily routine at Ryerson for the last 4 years. And as I prepare for what's next (waddup New York?), I can't help but think about what I'm leaving behind. I hope future Ryerson students realize how lucky are to be apart of this growing community. With New Ryerson Radio preparing to take off, I hope these new "Future of Media" students and the city of Toronto realize how great college radio still is for the music community. Without Lost Minutes, I would not be going to New York. I can say that with confidence.

While the radio show may be finished, Lost Minutes will continue to be my own personal blog. I will be updating it with updates from my Late Night internship, so stay tuned for some New York goodness! Max and Eddie are in the process of creating a new show for y'all, so support them and listen in January!
