Shortly after writing my previous post about #losingmyfaith, I baked #Christmas cookies for my grandmother and then looked for a card for her in the big box where I keep cards I've bought through the years or received from charities that send cards when seeking donations. This is a picture of the inside of the first card I saw in that box. The word #Faith is scrawled in large letters across the front of the card. Synchronicity or meaningless coincidence? . Is faith a #gift 🎁 given to some and not to others? Or is it a gift given to all but some can't receive it for whatever reason? Or is faith something you can muster by an act of will? What do you think? . The abusive relationship that is Christianity

You live under a constant threat of going to hell.

You are made to feel undeserving and unworthy of being close to God/ Jesus/ Anyone

It tries to control who you have sex with, when you can become sexual, what to wear, who to love, who to be friends with, what to eat, what day to do what, the list goes on and on.

It minimizes your accomplishments by giving all the credit to God/ Jesus/ Someone that's not you.

It demands that babies must be sexually mutilated on the 8th day of life to even be considered as someone worthy of God's covenant

It uses guilt and negativity to get people to do what it wants.

There was a time where you could buy your way out of hell with donations to the church.

It targets the young and vulnerable and publicly humiliates them, like Mary, the mother of Jesus.

It contradicts logic and science to build blind followers.
