Melody: favorite artists

If we're talking visual arts I'd say Edward Hopper and James R. Eads. If we include music there are sooo many ah ah, so I'll just say Radiohead (which is my favourite band ever ^^).

Diamond: favorite colour

Purple (I also love blue and green but purple is my ultimate fave :) I guess it shows in my blog theme lmao).

Oasis: dream destination

There are many but I'll say Italy because I've studied Classics for five years at uni, so I'd love to visit the Ancient sites and all. I've been to Greece but I haven't seen Italy yet, so it's next on my list.

do you ever want to get lost in a nebula?

Not the anon but I have a very weird (but I think it’s justifiable) fear of space because anything could go wrong and what do you do???

Honestly same!!! I also have a similar fear of sea travel for the same reason, but space is obviously much scarier, bc at least now days you can sometimes get assistance in open water from other boats or helicopters or whatever. In space, if something bad happens, you’re absolutely fucked. No one is coming to help you and you’re going to die a horrible death. I mentioned in the tags of my answer, but I’ve always sort of had a fear of space, and then I read The Dark Beyond the Stars by Frank M. Robinson, which is about a generational ship that is breaking down in deep space, and all the equipment is deteriorating, and there is a scene where the main character’s tether snaps while he is outside of the ship, and he is out there with someone who he thinks hates him and he has this moment of terror where he wonders if they will save him, or if they even can save him, and all he can see in any direction is darkness. And honestly the whole book for me was like, Deep Space Fear: The Novel lmao. I don’t even really think that was the point of the book given the themes that were focused on most, but since I already had that seed in me, it was like, “hello, reading this book will now make you even more afraid of space forever”. XD

#lostnoise #anyways space is beautiful to look at #but terrifying as a place to be imo XD #and I guess my experience of this book is just an example of how powerful the voice of creative works can be #when it's speaking to something already present inside of you #also underwater travel is similarly terrifying #like in submarines or whatever #bc if something goes wrong the likelihood of escape is so slim #and the death would be agonizing #basically the sea is as terrifying as space to me XDD #I LIVE IN CONSTANT FEAR XDDD #not really but if I think about it too much I'm like WOW HEEBIE JEEBIES #Nova by Samuel R Delany is another one that isn't *about* Space being scary #but still really imparts upon u how scary space is lol #but in a totally different way #anyways you would think someone who is afraid of space would read less sci fi but here we are
