June 4, 1720 - Lost: Quite A Bit Of Lace

Left in a Hackney Coach Yesterday Morning, between 10 and 11 a Clock, by two Ladies, who were taken up in Lombard-street, and set down in Bread-street, a small Paper Parcel, in which was a Lac’d head, and 7 Yards of narrow Lace, with some Lawn. If the Coachman that took them up, or any Person else that has found them, will bring them to Mr. Streatfeild’s, at the Cross-Keys in Lombard-street, shall have 2 Guineas Reward.

May 31, 1720 - Did You Lose This Sword?

A Sword found without a Scabbard, coming out of the Ball Room at St. James’s, on Saturday last, the King’s Birth-Day: If the Owner comes to Giles’s Coffee-house in Pall-Mall, he may have it again.

May 21, 1720 - Found: Gloves

Whereas a Parcel of Gloves was taken up on Friday Evening the 13th Instant, in Lombard-street; the Owner describing the Quantity and Marks of the same, may have them again, paying the Charges of this Advertisement. Inquire at Hamlin’s Coffee-house in Swithing’s Alley.

May 13, 1720 - Reward For Return Of Linens And Clothes Lost During Recent Fire

Lost on Sunday the 1st Instant, at the Fire in Bridewell Precinct, one large Trunk, in it three Damask Table-Cloaths, two Dozen of Damask Napkins markt with a C. and two Pair of Holland Sheets In a smaller Trunk, a Red Damask Gown and Petticoat lined with a White Mantua, and several Things of small Value. If any Person will bring the aforesaid Trunks and Goods to Mr. Cordwell’s in Bridewell Precinct, they shall have a Guinea Reward for each, and no Questions asked.

April 30, 1720 - Reward For Return Of Lost Spectacles

Lost on Thursday the 28th Instant, about St. James’s, in a Coffee-house, or dropt in a Hackney Coach going to Kensington, a Tortoiseshell Case in a Silver Frame two pair of Spectacles. Whoever has found them, and brings them to Giles’s Coffee-house over-against St. James’s, shall have 10s. being near double the Value.

April 29, 1720 - Lost Dog. I Think.

Lost on Thursday the 28th Instant, about 10 a Clock in the Morning, out of Freeman’s Yard in Cornhill, a small brown Bitch of the naked Kind, having no Hair, except a little on the Head and Tail, her Breast, Belly, and Legs very much speckled, a white Blaze in her Face, and no Ears. Whoever brings her to the Flower-de-Luce over-against the Royal Exchange in Cornhill, shall have a Guinea Reward.

April 21, 1720 - Large Reward For Return of Stolen Tea Kettle

Taken the 16th Instant, out of the House of George Fz Gerald, Merchant, in Basinghall-street, a large Tea Kettle and Lamp new Sterling, wt. about 80 Oz. with two Coats of Arms in one, viz. A Red Salter in a Field Argent, the other a Spread Eagle. Whoever brings the said Tea Kettle and Lamp to Mess. Atwill and Hamond, Goldsmiths, in Lombard-street, shall have 10 Guineas Reward, and no Questions asked.

April 19, 1720 - Lost: Diamond Ring

Lost or mislaid on Tuesday last, a Rose Diamond Ring, the Shape of a Heart supported by two Hands, enamel’d, the Coronet three Brilliants, a Brilliant on each Side the Hands. Whoever brings it to Mess. Long and Bland, Goldsmiths in Lombard-street, shall have a Guinea Reward, and no Questions ask’d.
