SVU really just like. makes up its own versions of real laws. I'm like, three? episodes into season two and I've noticed I think three different instances of laws being completely misrepresented by the writing. and I can't emphasize enough that I don't know shit about the law. the degree of 'we just made it up' is absolutely bananas
watching ice-t play a cop really doesn't stop feeling absurd, huh
