hi!! first i wanna say that all your psds are absolutely stunning, idk how you do it but, wow. i was wondering if you had any tips on how to color dark scenes that have a lot of yellow or blue tint? i've downloaded a few of your psds and i've seen you use the red, green and blue curves but whenever i try to use them i just end up making everything super tinted as well

hi there, thank yoou! (i got it after years of suffering and making bad psds). so, those scenes are my nightmare, because i love vibrant gifs, colors in general. so you can’t do that with dark scenes. you’re doing right, sometimes my gifs have a lot of layers, mostly curves and color balance. you can’t try to fix the color or try to brighten in only one layer, do it gradually

but i play around curves and color balance to “fix” even a little bit of the yellow/blue/green scene, then brightness and contrast to add some light. levels help too, both to dark a little and add more light. but it’s not always like that. sometimes this doesn’t work and i give up making that gif. i’m not sure how you explain this, i have saved some tutorials too about this, but when editing a specific scene things change

recently i tried to edit one super yellow and a bit dark scene from legends of tomorrow, i almost deleted because it was really hard to make a psd, but i guess what i have now it can’t be better, here the psd, you can use as a base and i hope it can help you

psds 293 - 295 by scottisbae. download here (mediafire). like or reblog, please. psd 293 you may need to adjust levels if it gets too dark. all of them there is a curve layer where i corrected the color from this tutorial. if it’s too much trouble, you can delete and use color balance to do that
