The Bee's resident band: Dotters' Division

Our popular #Lot36 finally has its own resident band: Dotters' Division! They'll be jamming out every Saturday, bringing with them a new guest every week. Get to know this all-female all-awesome band! 

The band consists of ... Melissa (vocals, electric guitar), Audrey (saxophone, backup vocals), Linet (keyboards, backup vocals), Jie Er (bass) and Rebecca (drums).

It all began with ... "an idea of covering songs that were rarely covered by other bands. Songs that you might have forgotten, or grew up with. We have however evolved to playing all sorts of music from rock, to pop, to R&B."

The name Dotters' Division ... was meant to allude to their gender. "We thought the word 'daughters' would do the trick. We also wanted a band name exclusive to us, meaning that if you type in on Google, we would be the only find. Hence, we changed the spelling and made it Dotters' Division, a little segment of music from, well, girls."

Their repertoire ... is tilted towards groovy and funky music.

Lot 36 presents Ann Marie and Friends

Lot 36 this month will be kicking it up with AnnMarie and Friends. AnnMarie is a singer songwriter blessed with a wide vocal range and vibrant mesmerizing onstage presence. She's performed with Grammy award winning composer/producer David Foster at the David Foster and Friends Concert in 2011. To top it off, AnnMarie has also worked with LA-based producer/film composer, Deane Ogden, on his highly anticipated album "Eastern Chronicle".

Yes folks, this is definitely a must see act! Event takes place on 31 JULY, 8PM onwards at The Bee Publika. See you guys there!
