Picture this; season three opens with Robby’s first day back after his sabbatical. His hair and beard is longer, grayer and all around ‘unkempt’ but in a purposeful way (ie NW look now but even ‘messier’)

He pulls up to PTMC not on his motorcycle but a truck. A vintage ford (or some other beautifully old truck). To the tune of “Here Comes Your Man” by Pixies.

Inside the ED they are carrying out Patient Hand-offs and Robby walks up saying something quippy playing off something Abbot or Shen/Ellis says and we get the Mel-Langdon moment where Dennis excitedly greets Robby.

Perhaps more restrained, but a similar juxtaposition compared to the others say as the Mel-Langdon scene went. Robby stayed an extra month on sabbatical, everyone is a bit unnerved to have her back/is worried by his appearance and his attempt to just slide back in as if nothing happened. Cutting to Dennis cheesing hard and saying an excited/relieved “Dr. Robby”

Everyone else? Similar flip to Langdon coming back, got accustomed to the ED without him. Rumors ranged from him not coming back, to him being institutionalized, witness protection, all the way to him being dead.

Maybe even, like Langdon, Robby (in his own way) does his rounds of apologizing for his actions and lashing out he did during s2 and we get the “you never let me down” scene between Robby and Dennis. Because he never showed that side of him to Dennis. Maybe we get him admitting to that. “Protecting”Dennis from that side of him. Even as his breakdown got closer to the breaking point, he purposefully softened for him.

Maybe the Langdon and Dennis fight in the break room will be Robby and Santos. About Dennis and his undeniable “spell” Robby has over him. That his truck won’t bring him and Dennis closer, it won’t take the place of the widow. He shouldn’t want to replace the widow, he shouldn’t want to be ‘work’ to Dennis. If his affection is coming from a real place, he’ll back off and leave him alone. Hell, leave for good. Her wording isn’t what she means ofc, but his face drops all the same. That’ll be when he spits that maybe he shouldn’t have spent the extra month of his sabbatical getting help if all his colleagues seem to want him to disappear anyway. She immediately feels badly and backpedals. But he is gone from the lounge before she can take it back.

I watched the Girls Like Girls movie. Spoiler free thoughts. I liked it. It was very like teenage problems but like didnt seem to follow the super tropey stuff in wlw films. If you know you know. But a good watch I recommend seeing it. Especially if you were around during the peak of Hayley Kiyoko music videos. Also there's an after credits scene. So stay until the end
