Could you do something with Pred!Strange where he has to nom Christine for her protection and pretend like he's actually going to digest her even though he isn't?
((of course anon! -Admin Snexy))
Strange knew two things at the moment. 1. If he didn’t get Christine to a safe place she’s mostly likely die, and 2. He had a place and he was 100% sure she wasn’t going to like it. Hell he didn’t even like the idea, the thought of having to pretend he was doing harm was killing him.
“Christine I’m terribly sorry for this.” He says with a slight grimace, hating how sure turned to face him with a bit of fear. The beast from another realm wouldn’t stop until it had consumed her, there was no other choice.
“What..what are you talking about?” Christine asks quietly. She glanced back down the hallway, grabbing onto Strange’s arm when the sound of heavy footsteps echoed down the hall. They didn’t have a lot of time, and just portaling her into his stomach wouldn’t work, no the beast had to see where she went.
“There’s no time to explain, just...trust me.” Strange says with a slight grimace. This was just as hard for him as it was for Christine, he knew she wouldn’t understand but there wasn’t time to reassure her. Not many knew of the urge quite yet, those that did refused to believe their class most of the time. He sighs softly and focuses on shrinking her down to a more manageable size.
“You’re being very-woah.” Christine pauses suddenly, squeezing her eyes shut. Strange wasted no time scooping her off the floor, grimacing yet again when he felt tin hands grasp tightly onto his fingers, looking for something to stabilize themselves on.
“It’s safe.” He says halfheartedly raising her to his mouth, the beast creeping around the corner as he did so. God he hated to do this to her but this was the option with the best outcome.
“What- Stephen what are you Stephen!” She squeals out in fear. Her vision must of cleared sense she was trying to scramble back as he lowered her down. The beast let a screech of protest out, charging at them.
“Stop it! Stephen stop! Please, I’m begging stop!”
He grimaces shoving her down into his mouth gently, hating the feeling of her squirming around trying to haul herself back out. The dryness of cotton slowly fading as saliva soaked into her clothes. This wasn’t his ideal way of swallowing his prey down but it was going to have to work.
Strange turned to face the beast, showing off his little meal before swallowing thickly, Christine’s wiggling intensifying as he swallowed again. The beast froze in its tracks, watching the small lump travel down his throat. Soon he felt Christine slide into his stomach with slight difficulty. It was sweet relief from her fighting but worried him slightly. He hoped he hadn’t accidentally hurt her.
Stephen resisted the urge to react when the beast crept close to him, sniffing for any sense belonging to its target, it sniffed his middle, which apparently jolted Christine out of her shock.
“Stephen! Let me out, please, I'm begging let me go please! We can figure this out please!” She begs pushing at whatever she could get her hands on. It was a weird sensation but he could tell she was desperately trying not to panic. Maybe she thought as long as she stayed calm she’d last longer. It was a good thing he physically could not harm her.
The beast leaned back at the display, gave him a low growl before padding off, disappearing back down the hall. It’s target had been devoured so there was no need for it to stay in this realm. He sighed in relief waiting a few more seconds in case it returned before addressing the nearly sobbing woman in his stomach.
“Christine, it’s safe. There are no acids.” Strange murmurs softly. He grimaces slightly when she moved again, more violently than the last time, it was going to take a lot more than words to calm her down.
“I-I’m in your stomach Stephen nothing about this is safe!” Christine hisses out, Stephen attempting to comfort her by rubbing the area he felt her. He stopped when she jolted back, letting a small yelp out. He felt horrible mentally and physically with her moving around so much. He never had a prey squirm around as much as her. That was one aspect of the Avengers that he missed, this was so normalized that everyone knew what would aggravate each pred’s stomach.
“You’re still breathing, that should be impossible if you were being digested. The acid should’ve already started to eat through your skin already too.” He prompts softly, slowly sliding down the wall to sit. Christine moving around uncomfortably as she shifted as well.
He could tell she was pondering this by her lack of movement and the silence. It was a relief from the begging and constant moving that had been happening.
The silence continued on Strange just resting and taking note of the soreness of his throat from dry swallowing his prey. He would have rather just portalled her into his stomach but the beast would just continue it’s search hurting innocents.
Finally a reply. Christine was apparently getting that she was safe despite being deep inside of him. He sighs appreciatively and shifts slightly, noticing she jolted at the movements.
“Yes. This was the only quick way to pacify the beast. Mostly everyone is affected by this, it’s obvious you're prey.” He Answers, closing his eyes. It was nice having a meal settle down realizing that they were completely safe. He figured it was the heavyweight that pacified most preds and pacify it did.
“O-oh..so..do you do this a lot on the-the ah avengers?” Christine asks quietly. She was calming down more. This made his part a lot easier. He wasn’t exactly sure if he was ready letting her go quite yet, it had been awhile since he had given into the urge after all.
“At times yes. It usually depends on who is there and what’s happening” Strange says. He takes this time to rest and answer any questions Christine might have. It took around 10 minutes of talking and her poking around before Strange had enough mental energy to portal himself home.
Christine talked the whole time, only pausing when Strange portaled her out of his stomach and into the awaiting bath.
They had a lot to talk about, but for now she needed to get cleaned up.
