Love Locked

I am the lock, you hold the key. Kept hidden away from what can what has hurt me, you pay the price for my inability. Come with your key, it won't turn. Come with a locksmith, they can't fix it. Try to pick the lock, the tools break; nothing is working.

Inside the lock you can hear the heart. It still beats, yet it's faint and barely pumping. You have to keep trying, don't give up, you can't let it give out before it's even had a chance to recover. Keep working at it, if you do will it break the outer shell? Will you make it in time, the beats become slower, fainter, it's slipping away.

Try the key again, turn to the right then the left. Come on come on let this work. Finally, you hear the click, the lock falls away. A heart reached in time, still has a chance to be alive, still has a chance to revive and beat in rythm if it's still willing to try.
