This is a little comic of how they made their warlock pact. I took some creative liberties on how such a pact is made. I followed Bill Cipher rules in the sense that you just have to shake the patrons hand, doesn't matter if you know what you're agreeing too.
Jean is a knight and saved Jury who is a fiend eventhough she was supposed to kill her. They ended up living together in domestic bliss for six months. Nobody knew Jean was keeping Jury there because if anyone would find out Jury would be killed, and Jean would also likely be executed as a traitor. They lived peacefully until Jean came home one night to see Jury kneeling next to the corpse of her now dead grandfather. Jury was in tears, explained that the man came to the house to check up on Jean since he hadn't seen her in six months, only to find her, an enemy, a monster. She explained that he came at her, that it was self-defense. Still in shock, Jean forgave her. She buried her grandpa that night in her backyard and continued to hold a crying, shaking Jury in her arms till she fell asleep. But Jean dit not fall asleep. She laid awake, wondering if the woman she held so tightly was just a monster after all. After all, she was told her whole life that monsters couldn't change their nature. Was she foolish to think differently? Things between them weren't the same after that. Jean grew distant. Paranoid. Every time she would look at Jury she found herself searching. Searching for some hidden evil. But all she ever found were the rubyred eyes she had grown to love. Until, one day, she didn't. One day it really was evil looking back at her. Little did she know, Jury saw the exact same evil in her eyes that day. Jean made a plan, and Jury made her own. Jean brought a knife in to their bedroom the next night. Jury knew what was coming, she was going to kill her. The two woman sat on opposite side off the bed, backs turned to one another, Jean's fingers clutching the knife. She turned around, tucking the blade into the waistband of her pyjama's. She opened her mouth to say something but Jury interrupted her. "Can you promise me something?" She said, voice soft. She stood up from her end of the bed and turned to face Jean, fingers mindlessly combing through her own hair. "What?" Jean asked wearily. "Do you love me?" She asked, red eyes locking onto Jeans blue ones. "Yes." Jean whispered breathlessly. Jean knew then, she wasn't lying. Her body relaxed just slightly. She loved Jury. And her love for her would always trump her being a monster. Jury was a monster and Jean decided to love her anyway. Jean almost let out a relieved giggle but Jury's eyes were still serious. Jury stuck out her hand. "Promise?" Jean slid her hand into hers. "Yes, I promise." Something shifted in the air, a cold creeping in. Jury took Jean's hand with a surprising force and lifted it up to her lips. Soft lips pressed into the back of her hand. Jury held it there firmly. Her eyes glowed red in a way she hadn't seen since the day they met. The day they fought on the battlefield. The last day Jury used her magic. "My dear," Jury murmered against her skin, strings of red magic twisting around her wrists. "You really shouldn't fib."
I did not intend to wright a whole fic yet, but I guess I just did. Also the story kind of changed from the comic I drew. Also also I am not proofreading any of this, so idk if it even makes sense. Also also also I do feel like I am going to wright their whole story and put it on ao3 anyway so you can just wait for that and skip all of this text because ig it's spoilers.
