Location: The Lake With: Corey @lovecorey
gabriel knew how he must look, perched on the dock of the lake, leaning over the rail as far as he could without actually tipping over in to the silvery depths. peering at his reflection staring back up at him, and questioning if he looked any different. was that a part of the demigodhood? had his jaw grown more chiselled, his features more statuesque? not in the slightest, but it was providing him an excuse to...
"don't do it, you're fully dressed, you will regret it, it's probably disrespectful to dive in. this isn't a holiday and you are not going to leave a terrible impression by paddling around like a lost puppy."
yes, he was reprimanding himself out of diving in. in his defence, while he wasn't exactly landlocked at home, the beach had been too far away for a simple trip. it had to be made in to a full vacation, reserved for special occasions, until he was old enough to travel himself... and had to refrain because then it was his turn to be responsible and not drag people away from what they needed to be doing just to indulge in some play in the water.
he wasn't even aware of the audience until he tipped a little further forward over the bar, glanced to his left, and spotted one of the demigods he hadn't encountered yet. and, well, it was kind of a given with his positioning that, when he went to wave? straight over the railing with a brief yell, a flail of his short clad legs, and a rather impressive splash if he was being honest.
"I'm okay!"
