Another project

Another project has sprung somewhat-formed into my head, and I think I will work on it as my major project before I get to Magic Smoke. I love the idea of treating the notion of magic smoke seriously in fiction, but I often felt as if I had shoehorned it into the Lovecraft-verse in a way it didn’t belong. The story in my head now currently has less of an overall plot, but it fits better into the Lovecraft-verse, and plotting it should prove relatively easy. It also stems from the taking of a silly idea very seriously. Some elements of Magic Smoke may be transferred into this as-yet-unnamed story, and some ideas I have for this story may end up in Magic Smoke. This story should be a proper cosmic horror, though, which I don’t think I could have done to Magic Smoke, which will be more of a romp through the Lovecraft-verse.

Intro

I'm going to use this blog to encourage myself to work on a particular long-term project I have, a story / webcomic / probably including animations / perhaps a film eventually? about a search for a source of Magic Smoke in Lovecraft's Dreamlands.

Probably not a ton of progress will happen rapidly because I have several other projects I'd like to make happen, and this is not a priority.  That being said, this is the only one not featuring animation, so it might progress quicker than otherwise.
