bent over a box of strawberry milk , he hums along maybe a bit too enthusiastically as he restocks a lower shelf in the iceboxes that line the wall . he likes when it’s just him working the shop -- he can play his girl group playlist over the loudspeaker without getting into a fight with his coworker over it ( you can only play river flows in you SO many times , CINDI !!! ) . hanjae isn’t really into blac.kpink --- personally , he’s a twice man --- but there’s something oddly cathartic about their newest release .
the bell above the door tinkles , & hanjae leans around the aisle to give his customer - service greeting , but it never comes . it’s his favorite customer !
