✍ Favorite thing about writing the muse?

I love getting to bring awareness to this character who otherwise seems mostly overlooked. definitely in media. I love her, and she's not only a badass but she's quite the character herself. she's overcome a lot in her life. the reason I decided to write her in the first place is because I did not enjoy the way they portrayed her in the BIP film. I think I started writing her literally the day after I watched it because it bugged me so much.................

💕Favorite ship for the muse?  @batcaller & @atlantaen (rip arthur you will never be forgotten) & @pizzatheif & @tangerinesour (aka @criticalfai1ure). Basically i love any pairing that my partner and I can dive deep into. Those are my FAVORITES. 💭 Favorite memory of the muse?  when helena survived a murder mystery house group thing by killing @cardiomyapathy in a discord server started by @accruing. It was a really great experience, and super creative!

𝐀  𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄  𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋  .  A  certain  influence  that  the  ORGHAM  family  had  on  the  high-end  of  the  city  .  THE  RICH  ,  THE  FAMOUS  &&  𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐆𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐎.  Give  or  take  .  Seemed  like  too  good  of  an  opportunity  to  miss  .  Despite  the  ORGHAM's  thinking  they  are  playing  DENT  like  a  fiddle  .  He  had  been  adored  &&  respected  once  .  Then  again  ;  there  was  something  said  to  have  a  notorious  criminal  at  such  a  gala  .  Just  because  the  host  can  .  More  or  less  .  It  had  happened  before  .

Idle  conversation  [  none  they  are  so  interested  in  ]  ,  champagne  &&  forced  split-lipped  smiles  ,  teeth  pressed  &&  exposed  by  the  crater  in  the  side  of  their  face  .  The  night  was  a  success  thus  far  .  The  room  took  to  the  floor  &&  began  to  waltz  in  rotation  ,  shifting  dance  partners  as  they  did  by  happenstance  he  was  oscillated  to  a  man  of  a  similar  masquerade  .  Even  past  the  mask  ,  he  could  tell  looking  into  a  socket  that  there  was  indents  in  the  skin  there  .  It  wasn't  a  great  enough  look  to  really  assess  &&  HARVEY  would  have  known  better  than  to  gawk  at  another  man  scarred  .

forget - me - not : has your muse ever forgotten something that is or was important to them ? are they afraid of forgetting things like that ?

botanical headcanons. / accepting.

so i could very easily use the obvious answer of forgetting (temporarily) what happened at the conclave, those memories being stolen by the aspect of nightmare she encounters again at adamant -- but that is the obvious one. & until she did, in fact, remember, she wasn't sure how important that was. (earth-shatteringly, in retrospect. life-changing. etc.) i do think prior to that event, though, her overall memory was much more reliable. between the multiple knocks to the head she takes throughout canon & the probable after-effects of a demon literally removing memories, her retention is definitely weakened.

& being, y'know, the head of a large organization, she feels as though she cannot afford to forget much of anything. it's a loss of control, & she has so little of that anyway. so she keeps a small journal on her person, jotting down events & things said & sometimes even things she's overheard or figured out about those around her. she writes down almost everything, for fear of not remembering something that might be important later.

despite any jokes or rumors, it is not blackmail. it's genuinely just others' likes & dislikes, or things that remind her of them or such. to the point that she doesn't mind people reading her notes.

𝙰 𝙵𝙰𝙸𝚁𝙴 𝙸𝚂 𝙽𝙾𝚃 where she expects herself. nor is it a place she truly desires to be. little time for fun and games it feels like , but it is a place that has made her brother happy. and for that , she stays. there is a small part of her , pushed down and locked away that wants to enjoy the sights around her. believe in the trickery and magic. the person she had been before her escape would love this place , delight in it even. but that person was long gone , and she was forged of steel now. wondering around with no clear direction , she finds herself near @lovedying. it would be a lie to say there is not interest in him. the way voice carries , it's beautiful. something that calls to her , something that makes her stop where she stands.

near-invisible brows furrow, pallid features scrunching as she attempts to decode what was just said to her. he says he should, only to then say he shouldn't. were she not so curious by nature, perhaps she'd let it go. ezra being as she is, though, she is incapable of simply letting it go. "if that was an attempt at dampening my interest, you've failed terribly. i can be awfully persistent, you know."

So she's caught the eye of the opera house guardian has she? It's about time. Surely she didn't think she'd get away with framing him for her handy work forever.

He had to have seen her, she was more curious if the urban legends were true. And here is her confirmation, a letter, presumably from the ghost himself.

Now the real question is, did he see her enough to know her vampiric secret... or just enough to know she was shady?

Katherine's response to the letter was a single black rose with a red ribbon, and a small letter that simply read "The darkness is no stranger to me. -K.P"
