I know this isn’t as aesthetically pleasing as some of my other photos, but I love it because it shows you my own personal Scrooge. Phoenix is one of my six rescues. He was not held for two years, and when I adopted him, I noticed that some of the quills near his belly were burned. Phoenix is not a snuggly hog, and he really makes people think twice about getting a hedgehog. Before adopting a hedgehog, be sure that you have the time for them, for they need it! Phoenix never shows his face indoors, and he’s always hissing and popping.
