Life and Love Lessons Learned

1. Be one and done instead of breaking up multiple times 2. Without moving forward there is nowhere to go but back 3. “It’s us against the world” is not cute 4. Cheating may break you or bring the two of you closer. It depends on your situation and how you deal with it. 5. Do not one up each other. When you both need to win you both lose 6. Ignorance is not always bliss, especially in relationships 7. Know the difference between lust and love 8. Pride and ego are both very powerful. They can get in the way of any and everything if you let them. 9. Do not be selfish but be selfish. Know when to put your needs first and take care of yourself yet be empathic, considerate and kind. People are not toys to be used and discarded. 10. Having kids, an open relationship or marriage is not the cure for a relationship that is falling apart. 11. Don’t make assumptions. Communication is not optional. 12. If all of your friends hate your partner there’s most likely a reason 13. Two halves do not make a whole. “You complete me” is not romantic. Go into a relationship knowing who you are, not looking for someone to fill a void. 14. Be compassionate and forgiving but not gullible and naïve. 15. Drama is not sexy. Toxic relationships are not normal. 16. Abusive people are not capable of loving you. 17. Never fighting is not always good but neither is fighting 24/7. Strive for balance.
