Before the last episode of Homeland

I want to share with you my feelings. Today is the last episode for this season and I'm very nervous. I had exploded my opinions about how I think the last episode will be, you can read it here.

I opened the blog in the beginning of October, very new and fresh. I didn't follow Homeland in the first season and in season 2 I saw 5 episodes including the last one (just because my favorite actress played there) and I stopped because I didn't understand noting. When season 3 began the first episode was so interesting that I had to go back and see the 1-2 seasons. And than I opened the blog and it was soo, so funny. I read what Sara wrote some minuets ago and I can't do not agree with her. We are a small group here that are following of the episodes and uploading gifs, I know everyone and everything (although I don't know everyone personality) and that makes me feel so happy and good. I mean, when you have a company for the serieses you watch at it's more funny. The only thing I want is to know you and talk to you for hours about Homeland. I think that the Tumblr is one of the beautiful things who makes me enjoy more and more and I enjoyed to see this show and this season because of you so thanks you. I'm making gifs from the 6th grade and I never though it's so funny until now.

I will take this chance because it's the end of December now and the end of season 3 to thank you. Firstly, I want to thank Justin! (lovelyduo) You are so nice and sweaty and I can talk with you the whole day! I am so happy I know you and I hope you too (; And I can't wait the minuet I will see the last episode and will cry and will run to you to cry again XD I love you so much! (and I'm really meaning it) I still think that it's soo cool to talk with someone from other country than you! so thank you ♥ Secondly, I want to thank to Sara (chaseangela, hellyeahomeland) that I'm sure I'm talking to you too much XD You have a wonderful blog and you an amazing designer! and I'll be happy to know you one day. After I thanked to the whole word I have to say that the Tumblr improved my English (drastically) but I still have errors so I'm sorry about that (; Although I don't celebrate it I think that everyone here does so have a nice holiday and enjoy the Christmas! Thanks for your answer ;) I understand your opinion & it's logical! Somehow all fans know Brody'll be kill very soon ... I'm just not ready to say goodbye to him (& Damian too:!) & Carrie/Brody chemistry. I'll see how the show'll change, a new development and I hope it will be better without Damian, really. I'm just skeptical,nervous & afraid about Brody's death :) He's certainly too much broken for being saved :! Everyboady gone one day ... *-* ;(

I’ve said before that I feel it fits in with the show’s worldview for him to die. And from a practical and storytelling POV it makes sense to me, as well.

Losing Damian will be sad, but I tend to think that Claire Danes is one of those actresses who has chemistry with anybody. With Rupert Friend, with Mandy Patinkin (non-sexual of course). Hell, if you’ve ever seen Shopgirl, 25-year-old Claire Danes has great chemistry with 60-year-old Steve Martin. The best actors can make it work with anybody.

Hi :! Lot of questions about Brody's future... I have to say Brody's death'll be very dangerous for the show, lot of fans will be disappointed. I understand that writers think about the idea but it will be unfair! Kill him when we see him more human & become again "himself",a marine,a father,a man who feels love due to Carrie... it's not logical & hard. Actually I don't imagine the show without him, he's an important part of it, a central piece! Homeland without Carrie,Brody or Saul= I Can't

I have never once thought about this show as “fair,” in terms of what it does to its characters.(SPOILER ALERT follows: based on the trailer and what we see Brody do in it, he seems to be falling farther into darkness, past the point of no return, and I believe he realizes this too—he has nothing left to lose.) The truth is that, since Brody has returned from Iraq, he has not been “himself.” That was the whole point. He was been a shitty father, a shittier husband, a man who is lost. Only Carrie (and Dana, to an extent) was able to see the good in him, which is great and fine, but the show has established that their romance is a doomed one. That is, their romance CANNOT save him.

Certain fans may leave, and that’s a shame, but many many more will stick around. In the second season the writers were very close to killing Brody but Showtime balked, so they kept him alive. Now Showtime has expressed that it’s possible certain main characters could die (they of course wouldn’t name names).

I have to say I’m sort of surprised that so many fans are reluctant to imagine this show without Brody. I feel that his presence is holding the show back from exploring different possibilities. With Brody still on the show, I don’t see how this show could last and be good past season three. With him gone? A whole different world opens up.

Will the show be different with him gone? Absolutely, but very few serialized shows (i.e., not procedurals) are the same in season three or four as they were in season one.
