Aurora had never been good at the whole ‘personal space’ thing. She liked to be given attention, and she liked to give attention. So, in turn, more often than not she ended up in other people’s space. She couldn’t help it; physical contact made her feel secure. So Aurora sat, stretched out into other’s space, humming to herself because she had to be doing something and resting her legs in Evanna’s lap because she was closest.
Not that Evanna minded much; she was the same way. Always in other people’s space. Evanna didn’t need to be talked to to feel like she was being given attention; just being in close proximity with someone was nice. So she sat on her phone, reading random Buzzfeed articles until eventually she looked up, addressing everyone, “I know we had it like three days ago but I vote we get Chinese food again.”
