Love Oreos
Love Oreos - Valentine's Day 2019
When first inspecting the box of Love Oreos, they look cute. They have fun designs on the chocolate cookie for Valentine's Day as well as a soothing pink color for the stuf. After opening the box of Love Oreos, you are punched in the face with an unsuspecting smell, a smell similar to what one might expect from a box of Lemon Oreos. The amount of stuf on the Oreos in more traditional as compared to some limited edition Oreos. For example, Winter Oreos, S'mores Oreos, and Hot Cocoa Oreos all have more stuf than the original Oreo. The taste of the Love Oreos is interesting. It has a tart, fruity taste surrounded by chocolate cookies. This is done to try to impersonate the romantic chocolate covered fruit that couples like to partake in on Valentine's Day. There is a flaw with this idea though. Most fruit is not tart; it is sweet. The taste behind the Love Oreos was deliberately chosen by Oreo company, but what message are they making to their consumers? Considering that Valentine's Day is supposed to be a sweet and romantic holiday, but the Love Oreos are tart and slightly bitter is a major contrast. The Oreo company is most likely trying to send a message of being anti-Valentine's Day. There are countless flavors that could have been chosen for the Love Oreos including the original taste; they could have just colored the stuf like in the Winter and Halloween Oreos. The majority of Oreo flavors are all sweet in one way or another. This proves that the Oreo company went out of their way to give a flavored Oreo that is the opposite of what would be expected for Valentine's Day in protest of the holiday. With that being said, Love Oreos are not bad. If someone is a fan of the infamous Lemon Oreo, it is very likely they will be a fan of these Love Oreos. If someone is only a fan of sweet flavored Oreos, Love Oreos should be avoided at all costs.
