It's another Bullock thing. (Week 3 Post 2)

To continue on my Bullock rampage, one of her earlier films Love Potion #9 (yes, I think it is based off of the song "Love Potion #9" by The Searchers, probably best known by Neil Diamond) has Paul Matthews (Tate Donovan) and Diane Farrow (of course, Sandra Bullock) as two lonely biochemists, who stumble upon a potion given to Matthews by a gypsy. Both Matthews and Farrow were the leftovers at the bottom of the barrel that nobody in any mindset wanted. They were the nerd's nerds. But anywho, they started experimenting with the potion that made everybody (who was in range) crazy for them.They realize though that it wasn't true love and was never really going to make them truly happy. And as every chick flick goes, it's a happily ever after (as far as we know). 

With that being said, you don't have to change who you are to find love and to be something you aren't. You just need to be the best you that you can be (as cliche as that sounds). Matthews and Farrow did change before they realized what was right in front of them; however, they became the best they could. 

Sometimes looking your best helps to be able to find the best. Don't just rush into something because they winked at you from across the room - in fact, I would not recommend rushing into anything but that's just me. Know what you are getting yourself into.

Let love find you, but don't be afraid to help point it in the right direction every once in a while.
