bridgerton isssss… back. hate to say it (i loveee saying it) but they are so back. WOW can’t believe how much i genuinely like the season so far.

thoughts (spoilers!)

cinderella retelling element is appropriately small and imo the story strikes out on its own and remains that way for a long time

but also imo a very cute starting off point!

read a negative review and was fully expecting to hate the season. i feel the opposite. so far its high up with season two. like very close imagine they stick the landing and then there’s TWO good seasons of bridgerton

sophie <3 beautiful performance beautiful face but the way she constantly pulls her hair directly back from her face drives me crazy. she looks like shes about to play a game of netball

like my sigh of relief when she started parting her hair 😮‍💨 war is over

i genuinely love the focus on the serving class this season YES YES YES YES YES everything about it is good. seeing another element of the society, seeing how the ruling + serving class interact, silly little maid outfits, the forbidden element of the romance, reveals about how utterly useless and unskilled the bridgertons are. i love it

like “please tell me you asked her questions and did not bore her with yourself!” and “you have a sister… does she perhaps not know how to dance?” fucking hilarious

shes more likeable but i cant fucking lie to u the idea that she decides she has to get marry because otherwise she’s going to be left out and clueless for the rest of her life is singularly depressing to me :( let my girl dream of spinsterhood let her have her hopes :(

wld much rather see more of the penbrooks than hover around this varley and lady featherington plotline but there’s still half a show left

there are so many subplots this season and i dont care abt most

like why not have the subplots mostly focus on people… sophie knows? it wld make more sense shes kinda got more going on than benedict.

like mrs featherington has barely interacted w PENELOPE this season that bitch doesnt Know sophie OR benedict (really. ik theyre in laws but i dont think theyre. friends)

i dont love fran’s plot but whatever (id rather she gets two loves in her life than one. women in this show get nothing cant even fall in love again and again in bridgerton. but ig if eloise cant be the lesbian i have to content myself w this sad ass awkward ass plotline starring two boring nerds (not you michaela))

benedict and sophie at the cottage (mansion) AH my heart

benedict looking for noblewomen (none of whom react like they Know him) but he stumbles across sophie when he’s drunk and hurt and she’s so gagged to see him and he’s like ‘why this bitch know me’ GLASSES king we will buy you GLASSES

i like the charlotte danbury plot. but if adjoa andoh leaves the show i wld be devastated. theres just no replacement

when soph is working in bridge house and benedict is walking on eggshells around her but also so clearly is missing her and vibrating w the need to talk to her YES YES I LOVE DRAMA IT IS SOOO BAD THAT SHE’S WORKING IN YOUR HOUSE YESSSSS!!!!!!

my bones have been hurting me so, I’ve been thinking of asking my lover to beat me to relieve the tension. I want them to lay me face down on our bed on our soft blankets and snap the end of the crop against me over and over, raising bright welts on the surface of my back. I want them to use our heart shaped leather paddle, hitting me with a loud slap that makes me cry out and leaves my ass and thighs red and burning from the incessant strikes. If I’m really lucky, they’ll use their hands, pinching and grabbing and punching love marks into me that last for days or longer.
