even with actual pack structure though like, i think stiles would maybe make a show of submitting, but there would always be that undercurrent of sass; the only kind of submitting he does in canon is out of respect, and even then he's not a follower

yeah, no, that's totally what I mean.

Well he'll follow until it's a problem for him. He followed Scott for a while, but by season 3 he was kind of off doing things on his own, which is understandable because things weren't really going too good for him under Scott.

Argh, I know. Like, Scott is not stupid. A point of it is even made that he was a perfectly capable student until all this werewolf bullshit happened to him- thanks, Uncle Peter. There are times when I'm not Scott's biggest fan, and he makes poor decisions, but he's not stupid. Hell, everyone in the show makes poor decisions- looking at you Scott and Derek.

Stiles mouths-off to werewolves, the guys is anything but submissive. Like I understand when a fic is using actual pack structure, there is a level of necessary submissiveness, but let's be real. If you're fucking up Stiles is going to let you know.

Yeah, like Danny's nice enough, but he's definitely not above judging you. And, like, I understand that a certain amount of what Isaac presents is bravado, but he can be a vicious little thing. I'm not saying he can't be cuddly or whatever, and I mean obviously he has the capacity to care, but by no means is he innocent little thing.

There are so many little things now that no one even notices, but

teen wolf fic has such a bad habit of being so insanely ooc it makes me sad

there are so many things perpetuated in fanfiction that it becomes somehow widely accepted and almost canon. Like Always Innocent Baby Isaac. And Nice Guy angel face Danny.

Danny's kind of an asshole sometimes, and Isaac isn't always above the option of 'just kill them'.
