Planted 23 nearly dead marigolds, and potted the rooted Pepperomia my neighbor gave me! Thank you neighbor! My soul is freaky. Sand really. An I have a much better understanding of why my patio floods now. We thought we drenched the ground before digging. Nope. Took 3 tries with me stirring the dirt and water together I order to not have bone dry sand. (It rained hard 2 days ago and had sprinkling on and off overnight. That sand repels water. A it would run off in weird beads at first, then just pool there. Not sinking in. It also explains why nothing was really living there. It’s not really been super dry here. 🤔🧐 hmm. Ah well! I had a nice time ‘gardening’ with Larry. I hope those live. I have 2 other plants that need repotting too. Maybe tomorrow. ***and... the hose actually landed that way!
