My hands tend to sweat more than necessary, so I always try to avoid hand shakes and high fives with people. On a nice warm, summer's day, he grabbed for my hand. Taken by surprise, I jolted my hand back towards me because I knew my hands were a bit clammy. He frowned and asked me why I didn't want to hold his hand. I shyly admitted about my tendencies to sweat, especially during the summer, and he chuckled. It wasn't the response I expected; I didn't think my clammy hands were something to laugh about. Nevertheless, he stuck out his hands and said, "well isn't that perfect? my hands get too dry and I need you to moisturize it for me." He had the biggest smile on his face. I knew it was gross thinking that he is using my clamminess as "lotion," but it was one of the sweetest gestures. People always made fun of my sweaty hands, but he accepted all of me, even the gross, icky parts, and still loved me. HE was definitely a winner.
