Elsa’s sobbing...I’m sobbing
One of my favourite A-KA drawings
We don’t have a canon scene of Anna kissing Elsa’s hands, but this moment is as sweet as a kiss to me. Anna’s action of holding Elsa’s hands says so many things:
I love you, Elsa
I love your hands, Elsa
Your hands and powers are good, you are not a curse
I’m not afraid of your hands. I’m not afraid to hold your hands.
Lovethawmode
I follow you around, I always have
You are not a curse
As a result of what Pabbie said, Elsa believed that she was a curse. I firmly believe that Pabbie was the one person who had the power to guide Elsa and Agnarr in the right direction, but he didn't, and Elsa was scarred so badly. I mean, look at this:
You don't do that to an innocent child!! Snowflakes are part of who Elsa is! That was totally unnecessary. I have been posting compilations of Snowflakes recently, but I deliberately left out this horror snowflake that turns red.
Don't torture Elsa! 😡

Okay I don't mean Pabbie is evil. But sometimes good intentions have consequences. If you're only going to see a person once and give very weighty advice, you can't just wing it. Or, schedule a follow up meeting to see if the person took it the wrong way.
"You are a gift"
Elsa felt she was a curse again when she found out her parents died on a voyage they took to seek answers about her. It's amazing she didn't have a mental breakdown and freeze everything around her after a revelation of this magnitude (as she did in F1), showing her character's growth. She looked at her hands again in that horrified way (also in the 2nd gif)
Anna's fierce love set her straight. ❤️❤️❤️ Anna didn't even allow herself time to grieve over Agnarr and Iduna, she immediately could detect Elsa's emotional turmoil and went straight to save Elsa from her demons. She went into full-on lovethaw mode. (I just coined that and I'm gonna use that from now on)
Pabbie screwed up...
Fixer Upper
People make bad choices when they’re mad or scared or stressed
But throw a little love their way
And you’ll bring out their best! True love brings out the best!
I used to really loathe Fixer-Upper because I find the song annoying and loud. I still do, but after I learned that the song is actually meant for Anna to learn that Elsa needs true love to be set free, I loathe it less. So here’s a completely troll-free gifset. Lol
The 2 gifs of Anna stopping Hans’ sword are 90fps :) btw, interesting to note that Anna’s coldness affected Hans’ sword before his sword even touched her.
Anna's love
I can't stop blogging about Anna's love.
In this scene, everybody's reaction to Elsa's icy blast is one of horror and negativity. Weaseltown's expression says it all.
But Anna, darling Anna, she is the only one who can see beyond that. Her expression is one of understanding, forgiveness, sorrow, empathy and guilt. Love.
Understanding - her memories that were erased by Pabbie come flooding back. She now understands why Elsa shut her out. That Elsa has been concealing a secret for so long. Why she needs to wear the gloves.
Forgiveness - Anna had every right to be angry at Elsa tonight. Elsa kept shutting her out. She brought Hans to her to get her blessing but instead was coldly pushed away. Elsa even said the party is over. (Anna loves parties!) But Anna forgave Elsa for everything.
Sorrow and empathy - She feels pained because Elsa's big day, her corneration 😉 has been spoilt and Elsa has been embarrassed in front of all these foreign dignitaries. And she is worried about how Elsa will deal with this.
Guilt - because she is the one who pushed Elsa to the limit.
Anna's lines in For the first time in forever (reprise) are so well written.
'Cause for the first time in forever
I finally understand
For the first time in forever
We can fix this hand in hand
We can head down this mountain together
You don't have to live in fear
'Cause for the first time in forever,
I will be right here
Anna understands. And Anna's not giving up on Elsa.
Additional: Kristoff's lines from Get This Right (deleted song he sings to Anna to propose)
Gorgeous, funny, brave, and brilliant
Beautiful, won't give up on anyone
❤️
Love ❤️
