On established relationships
One of the hundreds of things I find refreshing about Game Changers/Heated Rivalry with Ilya and Shane (focusing on them since they span across the series and the focus of the show) is that once they are together, they are TOGETHER. I love a slow-burn romance, but I become frustrated with so many being on-again/off-again stories (think Ross and Rachel) or stories of couples tempted by outsiders. I'm not saying those don't reflect real stories, but I ALSO want people to see a reality of good, solid relationships. The two of you against the world. I'm in one, and far from young or a newlywed, and I'm so sad to see so many people think that a happily ever after (within a relationship) is a far reach or near impossible. Once Shane and Ilya decide on each other, they are DONE. Case closed. To the point where in a moment of insecurity during "the fight", when Shane thinks he's become too much, Yuna is the voice of reason going "yeah you couldn't get rid of Ilya if you TRIED, honey." That is REAL. I want people to stop lowering expectations for romance. Be selective, find your person, and then revel in each other!
