FEAR NOT IMAGINATION 👌 SCHOOL greek origin -> SCHOLE -> LEISURE... If you google the top ted talk of all time, you'll find "How schools killed creativity" as the top result. What happened to school? I wonder what it was like before all the systems... small tribes sharing knowledge and facilitating the curious mind. I sucked at school. I thought my grades reflected my intellect. I had a hard time paying attention. I LOVED group projects though. I loved collaborating and creating things.... lucky for me, I get to do that as a career now. I had dinner with my mom today and told her that her buying me my first keyboard could have been the biggest thing of my career. She believed in me enough to buy me that Yamaha motif that sparked my obsession to create and produce music. I'd spend hours on that thing straight till late late nights/ early mornings making music. I never had formal training but I ended up figuring out a bunch of stuff and started producing beats. Who knows, maybe I figured out some other stuff too like organizing chaotic sounds into a format that can be delivered into a 3 minute track... seems like a modern start up to me! Thanks mom for that keyboard and letting your son dream when you could have just said it would be a waste of time and money.
