Sooo lil story time So my best friend from middle & high school was this kid called Francois Xavier, french kid, i was in a french international high school in DC; in spanish the nickname for that name is Paco which i often called him, we got along great, two fun curious kids, wandering about he was as pure as can be; after his birthday one time in high school, where we all came to his house, we got a bit loose, and he locked himself in the bathroom crying about the negative aspects of this world, he rly wants a better place, he dsnt understand why ppl are bad well when college came, i stayed in the US, he went to Canada; i’d visit him, he’d come down and yeah, we were growing up, both of us got curiouser to the world, to beyond, adventuring, wandering..

he’d tell me how if he were in a conversation that was boring, even mid party, mid convo, he wld just do a spongebob meme and head out, no explanation... this went on to if he was bored, he’d grab his bottle of water and at future times a tent and he’d go for a walk, he’d spend the day out and come back, then days, then weeks, then he’d just spend months wandering the country, did that in Canada, France, Spain, parts of the US, we stayed in touch over skype in France, he saved up working at Burger King while growing mushrooms for himself at home; he’d be meditating since our high school days, he was always there for the soulful conversations with me; so he got into the heroic doses at home; he’d tell me how his mom would just pop her head in to check in on him from time to time, besides tht, chillin I think he mentioned to me he was gonna wander around Asia at some point.. Next time i hear from him, He’s been studying Muy Thai on an island in Thailand After a while not hearing from him, I reach out to his brother,

His brother tells me he joined a Buddhist Temple in Thailand with minimum contact, letting go of all earthly possessions,

This was about 2 years ago

I recently got in touch with his brother, who’s like we need to talk

I’m a bit fearful..probably just me overthinking

Is it really crossfit if you don’t take your shirt off? . I want to take moment and give some praise and appreciation to a really close friend of mine. Man, I can’t give this guy enough praise! From playing college football to preparing for life, this guy is the definition of putting your head down and getting work done. . Brock Baumgran is by far the most humble, hardest working man of God that I’ve ever met. From transferring colleges to chase his football career, to injuries that have taken him out of college football, to his loyalty, his heart, dedication, perseverance, and how he treats his family and friends. . If you guys know Brock, you know just as I do that you can’t say one bad thing about him. He is so deserving of so much more that what he has. . He took me through a crossfit workout this morning at 5:30am! Whenever I’m back home I will always make time to catch up with this stud! . Here was our workout: 1) Ladder 10 reps down to 1 rep BW bench press (185lbs) superset with - 2) Ladder 10 reps down to 1 rep BW pull-ups 3) Ladder 8 down to 1, then 1 up to 8 and then 8 down to 1 Push Press and Burpee combo! . #loveyabud (at Minnesota)
