5. What have been your perceptions on queer folk. Do you feel comfortable when you attend 'safe' spaces?
My perception on queer folks? They are my people. I resonate with black queers. We share a common struggle. Although I don't really go to gay clubs/spaces much, but I do feel there should be more openly queer spaces or events that happen - not only for fun but to drive conversation as well. In terms of making them safer, we need to be working with the cops/metros or even a top security company to ensure the safety of queer bodies. I feel like a lot more could be done, still.
6. We see that trans and bisexual folks feel like they are erased whenever safe spaces are hosted. What do you feel about this?
The community needs to put some respek on trans and bi bodies. They are constantly considered "not a thing". And it needs to stop. I have a trans friend and she hangs out with hags more than fags because it's always a mission to fit in.
