#loveyogiself DAY 7 is tomorrow ✨SALAMBA BHUJANGASANA/SPHINX POSE✨ “my heart is open, I accept where I’m at”. | there have been a lot of moments in my life (okay, most of my life) I have felt dissatisfied and discontent. I haven’t always accepted where I was and always looked at others journeys and compared mine to theirs. The past couple of years have been vastly different; sure, I still get those moments of “okay, what’s next? How do I get to where I want to be because this isn’t enough”, but more often than not I have allowed my heart to be open with where I’m currently at and because of this, life has opened up so many cool & unexpected doors to me. It’s truly amazing what can happen when you make the most of your present situation with an open, loving, and humble heart. #loveyogiself DAY 5 is tomorrow ✨URDHVA DHANURASANA/WHEEL POSE✨ “Im a wild thing making my own choices”. | backbending is definitely not my strength, but it’s where I’m finding myself in right now. It’s a daily practice because I know my natural tendency is to freak right out in any sort of backhand/heart opener. My heart starts pounding and fears begin to rush in because of lower back issues I’ve accumulated from dancing my whole life. But right now, it’s where I’m letting my practice dig deep and explore the natural tendencies of my mind, breath, and body. #loveyogiself DAY 4 is tomorrow ✨MALASANA/YOGI SQUAT ✨ “I support myself. I am grounded”. | this asana is sooooo good for you. It’s not typically in our Western culture as part of a daily movement diet, but it absolutely is built within our DNA as this was a way to eat, go to the bathroom, seated tasks, etc. as hunter-gatherers. It’s great for your digestive system as well as functional movement. I highly recommend adding this into a daily habit/routine.
