The following report is a transcript of Discord’s thoughts while in stone, as Discord could not write at the time. Because he was stone. Yeah.
He wrote this afterward to be included in his book, ‘Memoirs of a Stoned Dreamboat: Don’t Take Me for Granite’.*

I’m here again, back as Celestia’s favorite lawn ornament.
I was so close! So close! I could practically taste it. I had them all–Twilight was ready to give up on friendship, Pinkie hated to make others happy, Rainbow was a lazy clod, Applejack a cold-hard liar, Rarity greedy for a rock…
And then there was that annoying little Fluttershy…!
Though have to admit, I’m…impressed. I’m not happy about it, not one iota, but it’s no easy feat to resist my influence. In fact, it was the biggest surprise of my entire debut!
I thought she’d be so easy. I thought I would barely need to talk before convincing her that her friends thought she was nothing but a burden, a waste of space, a Pegasus of such little worth that there was no way she could redeem herself!
i mean, she was hilarious at first! Running around like a mouse with its tail on fire, jumping into the hedges with her rump in the air, her legs wheeling uselessly as she tried to hide! It took all my strength not to blow my cover and belt out laughing. She was so pathetic!
But no…my words had no effect on her whatsoever! She…She had nothing but good things to say about her friends, even though I told her that they only saw her flaws, that they knew she was weak and helpless.
She smiled about it. She said she was lucky to have friends like them.
She forced me to cheat in my own game; I had to force her corruption!
There are only two other ponies that have ever been able to do that. Celestia and Luna–two Princess Alicorns with years of training and studying, with more power than all the Pegasi combined!
..So just who does this Pegasus think she is?!? How can one be so blindingly kind, to be her own worst enemy, but lavish nothing but sweetness on others?!? I did my research on them, I KNOW she dislikes herself. So why does she only see the good in others?!?
And if she’s so good at that…
Then why am I stone now…?
Why am I the only one that isn’t given any mercy?
Because that’s how it’s always been, isn’t it? Ponies will love or befriend anything as long as it isn’t me. I’ll bet my fang that she didn’t feel a thing while turning me to stone. Even the Element of Kindness has nothing to feel for a creature who isn’t a pony with harmonic powers, right? I’ll bet she doesn’t care, just like the rest of them.
Well fine. I don’t need her kindness, I don’t need her to treat me like she does the rest. I don’t need to feel bothered that she’d never show me any kindness. All I need is to get out of here so I can put back in her place. Nopony defies me and gets away with it!
Ohoho, I hope you’re prepared for next time, my dear Fluttershy. Because when that time comes, I’ll be ready …and more sarcastic than ever.
