Answering here from Twitter: This day's prompt is in reference to something JGY said to JC at the Temple scene:
Jin GuangYao raised his voice, “Sect Leader Jiang, you’re truly extraordinary, the youngest sect leader who rebuilt the YunmengJiang Sect on his own. But I recall that you could never beat Mr. Wei in anything, in the past. Could you tell me how you rose above him after the Sunshot Campaign? Did you perhaps take any golden elixirs?”
JGY is making a reference to the Golden Core, which he confirms later he knows about by talking of it directly.
In the genre of Xianxia (of the higher fantasy kind), elixirs are coveted for their ability to increase cultivation.
In some Xianxia, you can take golden pills as well that act similarly, to aid in condensing your qi to form the Internal Elixir. More details for very general concept here: Immortal Mountain About Cores.
