It’s hard not to talk about shoegaze/dreampop in Australia without mentioning Lowtide. Made up of former members of The Morning After Girls and a handful of other great local bands from the last few years, their musical experience and maturity shows both on record and in a live setting. As a band they cover a huge sonic spectrum, dual basses shift emotional weight below shimmering clean guitars, with male and female vocals sprinkled through for good measure. This track is one of many great tunes on their S/T release. The band also has a ridiculously good new single out which you can listen to here: https://lowtidemelbourne.bandcamp.com/album/julia-spring-7
