   I think the weirder part is SS gave us that Hylia is Zelda reincarnated and MC continued that story by showing us that the sacred power is passed down from her lineage. Yet somehow in BotW Hylia speaks through the statues and Zelda exists so…. I guess that might reveal that the power in the lineage has wained some and when SS!Zelda died she became Hylia again?? idek    

Yeah, I don’t understand that at all. Goddess Hylia shouldn’t exist anymore. I’ve asked myself this question before and the last thing you said is the only thing that would make any sense.

But then it would defeat the entire purpose of Hylia becoming Zelda in the first place. She became a human...in order to go back to being a god???

100% agree with you. The show has been going into a downward spiral on quality, arguably since Bismuth.

I had to look at the episode list because I honestly could not even remember which episodes were even in season 4, that’s how stagnant it is

Agreed. I’m not even gonna get into my beef with how Bismuth was handled (you already know anyways).  There are a few eps I really liked from season 4 - Mindful Education was a step back in the right direction but after that...Future Boy Zoltron, Last One Out of Beach City, and Kindergarten Kid were all solid episodes but they were filler. I don’t mind filler at all, I think SU does filler pretty good but there are a TON of filler eps before plot is even kickstarted in the last Bomb.

I liked the last Bomb, however the idea of a human zoo squicks me tbh (even with how it was handled) and it was too rushed for just 5 episodes. Plot points were brought up but are probably never gonna be touched on again. Will we ever see the Amethysts/beta kindergarten gems again? Who knows!

This is also a point of contention with me but I really don’t like how they’re handling Peridot’s development now. She had SUCH a good arc and then they just stuck her on the barn with Lapis. Which, also, had a good thing going for her but now?  Stuck at the barn. No development. Are we ever gonna like, touch on anything from Mirror/Ocean Gem at all?  They built it up for. Her. Being at the barn. I’m glad she’s happy but it seems kind of forced.  I appreciate the eps where they touch on her feeling left out and all that but ...idk.  Sorry for the ramble on this.

But yeah it just...season 4 is a mess and I’m worried about how future seasons will be handled tbh.

   The final boss in SS seems like the same as TP but worst. Just way too much going on and little presentation. BotW seems better to me but it might be because of the scale of the bosses in the game.    

Skyward Sword’s final boss fight is awful. But my own bias aside, I think they had something gong with the setup. In the first half of the fight, you can’t use the Skyward Strike and it really feels as if Hylia has no power in Demise’ realm. Unfortunately, everything else is lackluster and the shield removes any shred of difficulty the fight could possibly have. Unlike the BoTW parry, you don’t even have to have good timing. Just thrust the nunchuck over and over and he can’t hit you at all.

Then the 2nd half of the fight starts and a storm brews...and Demise becomes even easier to beat because he screws himself over.

BoTW’s final boss is very easy but the scale and presentation are top notch so I have no problems. Well, I do have one problem. It wouldn’t have killed them to give the boss more attacks, or at least have him attack more often, during that second phase.
