We went out to see the big event in the street theatre festival, Imagine Watford and found the the LP Cafe were putting on a little gig. It's the tiniest venue and the band played twirling around either to the folk inside or the lot spilled out onto the pavement. Off to the auctions today, what will we buy, stuffed squirrels, a fruit machine, an optometrists case, a 17th century chest? I'm sure all will be revealed, watch this space.

The whole In The Christmas Spirit record is incredible. So much funk! It’s probably for the best that we don’t have a copy of this on vinyl or serious moovin’ and groovin’ would occur.

James Brown – Let’s Make This Christmas Mean Something This Year 

This is pretty intense, listen with caution.  It’s not Christmas without the “Funky Christmas” album.  Classic.

The Ramones – Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight) 

Probably the greatest punk Christmas song of all human times.

George Thorogood and the Destroyers – Rock and Roll Christmas

Look at the hair!  What I’d give to be at that party.  This is too damn good, if anyone has this on 7” some serious money will be parted with to add this to the LP collection. 

Ray Charles – Merry Christmas Baby
