Ohio has 127 historic truss covered bridges. This bridge has a really interesting story... . The Rinard Covered Bridge was originally built in 1871, but was destroyed in a flood. After being rebuilt in 1876, three separate floods swept it away (1913, 1938, & 2004). Due to the strength of the bridge's architecture, the framework was sturdy enough for the bridge to remain intact and be put back. After remaining intact after being swept away in the 2004 flood, a second flood a few weeks later destroyed the bridge. Money was raised and the original trusses were saved to rebuild the bridge you see today. #StoriesMatter #Stories #LPPine #CoveredBridges (at Rinard Covered Bridge)
