if anyone has an archive of the plp rpg novelization, please, please, PLEEEEASE let me know, i’m desperate to find an archive or recording of it anywhere. it got me through a really dark time in my life, and i’ve tried sending asks as well as checking in my friend group, but now i’m making it public.

Daily Diary: Day 4

I didn't get all that much done today, unfortunately. I went back and fixed what I had screwed up before, put the face on the head after about 15~20 minutes of editing, an hour or so in total, I called it good for the night. Which didn't really matter since I was pulled this way and that until just now, an hour until I need to get to bed. I'm noticing now how off this all looks, but it's in little places that might not bother me so much if there weren't so many of them. I have a feeling most of my detailing is going to come from after everything is colored and there's hair and whatnot. At least from there I can fix the parts that are going to matter in the end. Maybe it's just because it's not rendered all nice yet, but it still looks kinda angular. I also attempted to fix the mouth so that it's closed instead of slightly agape. It still looks odd but at least I did it. That's all I really have for today, but progress is progress, after all!

The Fool

With all his worldly possessions in one small pack, the Fool travels he knows not where. So filled with visions, questions, wonder and excitement is he, that he doesn't see the cliff he is likely to fall over. At his heel a small dog harries him (or tries to warn him of a possible mis-step). Will the Fool learn to pay attention to where he's going before it's too late?

To create a more modernized LPer tarot card for this, using Chuggaaconroy as a baseline, I would probably put Chugga wearing a small backpack about to walk into the middle of a crowded street, distracted with a handheld console while Kirby, his cat, stands at his feet.

For one involving the LPRPG, it'd be almist identical to the card's symbolism, with his sword taking the place of the bindle and, once again, his cat instead of the dog.

Roses of Sin

The Roses of Sin storyline is one that is split into four parts, and focuses on the side characters of Logan, the seer, and Mayrune, the Innkeeper.

This storyline requires the player to have gotten Logan as a party member at the first possible instance.

Logan in the party allows the characters to scan a Quartet of rose based bosses across the map of the world. Blood Rose, Gold Rose, Stone Rose, and Sorrow Rose.

Facing, analyzing, and defeating the Blood Rose unlocks the first portion of the story, dropping Crimson Rose of Time. Mayrune gradually and visibly falling into a state of depression, and the inn slowly seems to get less and less customers, Logan on the other hand, while concerned about Mayrune, seems to be a bit... blank.

The Gold Rose gets faced, and drops the Yellow Rose of Love. Logan's mask seems to work on breaking down, seeming much more concerned about his friend Mayrune, even getting a bit distracted. He latches onto Kenz, his boyfriend, a lot more readily and actively.

The Stone rose gets faced, dropping the Dreadful Chains of Sin. Logan's much more romantic to his love, but when he's away, Mayrune and her dwindling business is the only thing he can think about. He gets angry at himself, and the party needs to calm him down after he lashes out at them, a lot stronger. "I'm the only one who can help My friend!" is repeated through the battle.

Wrath, Lust, Sloth, Pride, Greed, Gluttony Envy all wrapped up in one segment

The Sorrow Rose drops the Black Rose of Despair, and This marks the end of the line. The roses and chains are used to create some magical effect that delays Mayrune's self-destructive despair just in time for Logan to need it himself, and the cycle starts again

Prizes for this Arc: Logan and Kenz's bonds grow stronger through the Gold and stone arcs, getting them their Special move. The four Rose enemies also drop really strong armor/weapons for one of the party members you fight with.
