You could write an essay on the random opinions Littlest Pet shop fans have seemingly as a result of the fandom being made up of very young people who don't think very much about toy production
Consider the LPS prototypes which are famous among fans, with a lot of people speculating on why they would change minor details, why different molds or colors were used
The thing is like... having prototype toys that change a little between printing the pamphlets/boxes and production isn't weird. My Little Pony has been doing it since the 80s. A lot of prototypes were handpainted or made in very small batches. They need a prototype version to take pictures of, BEFORE the final run, so they can include pamphlets and promo material before the factory makes 40000 versions of each toy.
Is it a sign of Hasbro being a bit rushed when some LPS were changed after the fact? Maybe. But also, most of the changes look like they were probably due to some sort of logistical necessity- simpler paint jobs, markings, colors tweaked (in a way that could just be the lighting/printing of the pamphlet in many cases), variation from airbrushing.
