Many thanks to my buddy @stringbuzzmusic for doing a great job swapping out this @lrbaggsofficial anthem pick up out of the art & lutherie parlor guitar I bought used- and into my “new best friend”- my Made In Japan Alvarez Yairi DYK75. I have to do more research, but it says it’s the 20th of only 75 made of this model. It’s amazing. I love it. It’s been a long journey to find an acoustic I really connect with, but it’s here- and I’m so happy. I’m playing through a little fishman loudbox mini I snatched up used a few weeks back...the sound is closer to what I have in my head, and I’m just gonna make due with this for a while...but I’m still hearing something darker and richer. Kinda like John Martyn, I guess. I don’t know! At this point I consider electric guitar and acoustic to be two totally different animals, when it comes to amplification. It took me years to be halfway happy with how I sounded on electric, after being totally ignorant to what I thought sounded good!
