The Halls Annual Survey 2018: Your Halls need YOU!
Do you love your LSE student halls? Or do you think there’s a few ways they could be improved? Make your voice heard by taking part in the Annual Halls Survey! Express your compliments, concerns and comments so you can improve the halls experience.
What is the Halls Annual Survey?
The Halls Survey is a crucial way student residents can communicate their feedback and improve the hall experience.
What does the survey ask?
The survey covers many questions about the resident experience in LSE halls. It starts with three main questions:
Are you enjoying your stay in residences?
Do you think your residence offers good value for money?
Would you recommend your residence to other students at LSE?
It then explores feedback on different themes about their experience in halls:
Applying for accommodation and using the system HallPad
Hall Reception and Front of House Team- this includes security teams
Guest policies
Pastoral support – warden teams, peer supporters, school representatives etc.
Hall committees and the election process
Halls Cup
Catering services for catered halls
Facilities within halls – access to PCs, bathrooms, toilets, bedrooms, cleanliness, etc.
Environmental sustainability within halls
Traveling to the LSE
Why should I complete the survey?
By taking part in the survey, you will help improve the halls experience for LSE students in years to come.
However, if altruism isn’t enough, by taking part in the survey, you’ll be entered in a prize draw for Amazon vouchers so you can do some guilt-free shopping to reward yourself for helping a cause.
There is also a collective cash prize for the hall with the most improved level of participation, which you could use to organise a celebratory party at the end of the year.

When do I need to complete the survey by?
The survey deadline is Friday March 23rd, which coincidentally, is also National Cuddly Kitten Day.
You’ve convinced me! How do I find the survey?
Each resident has been emailed will a personalised survey link. To find the email, search, ‘qualtrics’ in your inbox, and if you don’t have a link, email [email protected].
